The Wineries Ride

Ali's Cycle Devine is located on the Wineries Trail just a 5 minute cycle from the entrance to Sileni Estate.  The trail is an easy Grade 1 - 2  limestone pathway which begines in Bridge Pa and continues on to the Gimblett Gravels wine growing region.  It boasts the largest selection of wineries in the Hawkes Bay.  Once you have collected your e-bike or pathway bike, helmet and map, we suggest that you head out independently to enjoy your cycle along the trail, stopping for wine tastings along the way.   To avoid disappointment, (groups of 6+ people) should book both wine tastings and lunch in advance, particularly for public holidays.  Allow approx. 45-60 minutes per wine tasting and more if you are a larger group.  For those groups preferring to do a shorter cycle, Bridge Pa offers 4 wineries - Sileni Estate, Abbey Estate, Alpha Domus & Paritua Winery, all within a 5 km radius of Ali's Cycle Devine!

For a full day's cycling & wine-tasting experience we suggest that you cycle to Gimblett Gravels to the furthest winery you have chosen.  It's worth visiting Roy's Hill look out for great views of the surrounding vineyards.   Take your time to meander back along the trail to explore wineries closest to us on your return trip.  Allow 5 - 6 hours (you will spend around 1 hour 20 minutes of your time cycling, with plenty of opportunities to explore the cellar doors along the way!
