What is the best time to start my ride?

It is best to collect your hire bike between 10am - 11am.  Winery opening hours differ so it would pay to do some homework beforehand.

What time do I need to return the bicycles?

The bike needs to be back at our premises by 5:00pm.

How many wineries offer wine tastings on the Wineries Trail?

​

There are up to 9 wineries that offer wine tastings.  Be aware however that a number of cellar doors do not operate Mondays & Tuesdays.   It always pays to check for seasonal changes to their opening hours .   Bigger groups should pre-book tastings to avoid disappointment!   Radburnd Cellars require you to make a booking (Mon - Fri) irrespective of the group's size.

Where can we get food?

​

Food is available from several of the wineries.  Typically pizza, platters & small bites.  For restaurant food, feel free to get in touch with us for recommendations.

Do you offer a shuttle pick-up/drop-off to our accommodation?

YES we do.  You can request a shuttle using the Booking Form on our website or email/phone us if you would like more information.

Do I need to wear a helmet?  Yes, it is the law in New Zealand that cyclists must wear a helmet.
